Dixie was found in the area of "Dead Man's Curve" wandering where someone had dumped her. She is now a year old, spayed and on heartworm preventative.

Hope was found severely injured, and had to have one eye removed. She is healthy and happy today, waiting for a new home.

Sam was given up by his owners when they divorced. He has severe arthritis in his front right leg and has to take medicine daily for it.

Project Hope Humane Society is a no-kill shelter.  The mission of Project Hope is to contain the homeless animal population through spaying and neutering rather than euthanasia.  Of course, that can be quite an expensive undertaking.  As a result of our no-kill policy, we have several special needs pets that would have been put to sleep at a "typical" shelter.
